[Featured Stock] Nanomedics Gains Spotlight from Graphene Aerospace Industry Application... US Virgin Galactic Surges

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Nanomedics is showing strong performance. The growing anticipation for the launch of a manned spacecraft in the United States appears to have influenced Nanomedics' stock price. This is interpreted as reflecting the expectations for the launch of a manned spacecraft within the year by a U.S. spacecraft manufacturer that recently signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Standard Graphene to apply graphene technology.

As of 10:51 AM on the 21st, Nanomedics is trading at 6,580 KRW, up 3.95% from the previous day.

According to the New York Stock Exchange, Virgin Galactic, one of the top three private space exploration companies in the U.S., has seen its stock price rise about 400% over the past three months. This increase reflects growing expectations as the commercialization of private space travel becomes more tangible. Virgin Galactic's stock price, which was around $7.26 in early December last year, traded at $38.72 per share on the 18th of this month (local time). The stock price increase compared to December is approximately 430%.

Standard Graphene recently signed an NDA with The Spaceship Company, a subsidiary of Virgin Group, to promote the application of graphene technology in the aerospace industry. With the realization of manned spacecraft launches, direct benefits to Standard Graphene's graphene business are expected.

The agreement reportedly includes plans to apply graphene as a new material to reduce spacecraft weight and to expand graphene use throughout the aerospace industry, strengthening comprehensive cooperation. Since there are no material industry companies among the 5 to 6 subsidiaries and affiliates under Virgin Group, cooperation with Standard Graphene in the new materials sector is expected to intensify in the future.

The Spaceship Company is a spacecraft development company under Virgin Group. It was established in 2005 to manufacture spacecraft and systems for Virgin Galactic, Virgin Group's leading aerospace company.
