[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Muan Fire Station in Jeonnam (Chief Park Won-guk) announced on the 21st that it plans to expand opportunities for fire safety education participation and provide guidance for new types of multi-use establishments that are not required to undergo mandatory fire safety education.
New types of multi-use establishments refer to new forms of businesses that have the characteristics of existing multi-use establishments but are not subject to the Multi-use Establishment Act, such as sensory pubs, virtual experience sports facilities (baseball, archery, etc.), and new types of cafes (escape room cafes, kids cafes).
Those operating these establishments can now register as members on the Korea Fire Safety Institute website and take online education for multi-use establishments.
Chief Park Won-guk stated, “To prevent safety accidents such as fires, we will continuously provide guidance so that even those not classified as new multi-use establishments can receive education.”
