Standard Median Income Expanded from 44% to 45%
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Son Tae-seok] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, will implement the Repair and Maintenance Benefit project from March to ensure housing stability and improve housing standards for recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security housing benefits.
The Repair and Maintenance Benefit project supports housing repairs for households owning homes among housing benefit recipients, including roof repairs, kitchen and bathroom improvements, heating work, wallpapering, flooring, and window replacement.
On the 17th, Jinju City established an annual repair plan and signed a consignment agreement for this year's Repair and Maintenance Benefit project with the dedicated agency, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters.
The city plans to select a total of 110 households (36 minor repairs, 27 moderate repairs, 47 major repairs) and carry out the project from March to December.
In particular, from this year, the city expanded the housing benefit eligibility from 44% to 45% of the median income. Additionally, repair and maintenance costs for owner-occupied households were increased by 21%, providing support of 4.57 million KRW for minor repairs, 8.49 million KRW for moderate repairs, and 12.41 million KRW for major repairs.
