Daegu Area Kindergartens and Elementary, Middle, High Schools Delay Opening by One Week (2nd Report)

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education postponed the start of kindergarten and elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide for the first time as the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) spread mainly in Daegu. On the 20th, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the opening of 341 kindergartens and 459 elementary, middle, and high schools was delayed by one week to the 9th of next month. The Office explained, "We made this decision because it is expected to be difficult to operate the normal curriculum for the new semester amid the spread of community infections."
