Daegu Christian Council "Minimize Worship Attendance for All Congregants"

The Daegu Christian Council, a united organization of Protestant churches in Daegu, stated on the 20th, "For the time being, worship services involving all church members should be minimized," and urged, "Please refrain from worship services and prayer meetings as much as possible, except for unavoidable Sunday services." This is due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

On the same day, Daegu Christian Council issued a statement saying, "This is a request from the government, Daegu city, and related agencies," emphasizing, "It also means that we must cooperate for our safety."

The organization requested, "Please fully cancel all kinds of small group meetings and institutional events held during the week and refrain from choir practice as much as possible." It also urged, "Stop communal meals provided by the church, including small group meals, and for local free meal services, only proceed after thorough quarantine measures are implemented when absolutely necessary."

Additionally, the Daegu Christian Council ordered local churches to implement ▲ comprehensive disinfection of worship buildings ▲ suspension of fellowship places including cafes ▲ restriction of church entry for those with fever or respiratory symptoms ▲ strict hygiene management such as wearing masks and hand sanitization.
