Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy S20 series on the 11th, consisting of three models: Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. In South Korea, all three models are offered as 5G-supported versions.
The Galaxy S20 series has attracted public attention by combining the largest image sensor ever with artificial intelligence (AI) in the camera, enabling clear photos even in low-light environments. It also features various new camera technologies such as 'Video Spin.' Additionally, equipped with the latest 5G mobile communication, a 120Hz display, and high-capacity memory, it is known among consumers as "the best smartphone model ever released."
In particular, the Galaxy S20 Ultra model applies an innovative folded lens, allowing 10x zoom shooting without image quality degradation. It also includes the 'Space Zoom' feature, enabling digital zoom up to 100x magnification.
The Galaxy S20 comes with 128GB of storage, while the Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra adopt 256GB of storage. The success of the Galaxy S20 series is largely attributed to its powerful camera performance. The Galaxy S20 is available in Cosmic Gray, Cloud Blue/White/Pink; the Galaxy S20 Plus in Cosmic Gray, Cloud Blue/White, Aura Blue/Red; and the Galaxy S20 Ultra in Cosmic Gray/Black colors.
Samsung Electronics announced that with the Galaxy S20 pre-order, customers will receive a 'Galaxy Home Mini,' an AI home speaker capable of various home controller functions, and a 'Nemonic Mini,' a small printer that can print without ink when linked with a smartphone. Additionally, discount coupons for the second-generation Galaxy Buds will be provided.
Even after applying the discount coupon, the consumer price for the Galaxy Buds Plus is 99,000 KRW, which has led to some disappointment among consumers who expected a free giveaway. Following this trend, the smartphone group purchase cafe 'Bluephone' announced that it will support free purchase benefits by providing additional coupons for the Galaxy Buds Plus and has started securing pre-orders.
Although official subsidies have decreased, the cafe supports additional discounts of up to approximately 300,000 KRW. They are also holding an event offering a 'virus sterilizing charging stand' and a 'Yoichi 3-in-1 cable,' along with a 'Starbucks tumbler' as a gift for writing reviews.
A representative of the cafe stated, "Excessively high new smartphone prices are increasing the economic burden on consumers, which led us to plan additional discount benefits of around 300,000 KRW." They added, "Furthermore, for consumers seeking free phones and cost-effective smartphones, we are holding promotions for the previous Galaxy S10 series, including free Galaxy S10e models and Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus models priced in the 90,000 KRW range."
The Galaxy S20 pre-order period ends on the 26th, and due to the influx of applicants, early registration is encouraged to ensure smooth benefit application and processing.
