Khalid, Stormzy, Loyle Carner, Kenny Gee... Korea Tour Postponed Due to COVID-19


Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, the schedules of overseas artists' concerts planned in Korea have been repeatedly postponed.


Interpark Ticket announced on the 14th that the rhythm and blues (R&B) singer Khalid's concert has been temporarily postponed. Khalid was originally scheduled to perform on April 9th at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu. Khalid's side stated, "Due to recent travel restrictions and advisories in some Asian countries, we regretfully postponed the entire Asia schedule," adding, "Khalid prioritizes the health and safety of fans, the team, and staff."


British rapper Stormzy, who was scheduled to visit Korea for the first time next month, also postponed his Asia schedule. The concert planning company Fake Virgin announced on their official website on the 13th, "Stormzy's Asia tour has been postponed to November due to COVID-19."


American singer-songwriter Loyle Carner informed of a schedule postponement one week before the concert. The concert originally planned for the 27th will be held on September 18th at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu.


Saxophonist Kenny G also changed his concert schedule from April 21st at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul and April 23rd at BEXCO Auditorium in Busan to October.


Domestic singers are also postponing or canceling their overseas tour schedules in Asia and other regions. Girl group (G)I-DLE temporarily postponed their Bangkok concert scheduled for April 4th. This was the first schedule of (G)I-DLE's world tour since their debut.


Boy group SEVENTEEN also canceled their world tour schedule planned from the 22nd to next month 10th. They had originally planned to perform in Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Madrid, Paris, London, Berlin, and other locations. Previously, Taeyeon, NCT Dream, MOMOLAND, and Hyomin also postponed or canceled their overseas schedules.
