Entels is a company that provides software solutions, platform services, service operations, system design, and integration tasks for operators offering telecommunications, broadcasting, internet services, and Internet of Things (IoT) services.

It mainly operates in the integrated operation support solution (B/OSS) business related to service subscription, activation, customer management, product management, billing, and settlement management, which service providers need to have to offer their services. Recently, it has also been engaged in smart traffic management business necessary for implementing LTE and 5G mobile communication services, as well as IoT service businesses required for ICT convergence services such as smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, and smart factories.

The major customers, mobile communication operators, secured frequencies necessary for 5G mobile communication through the 2018 frequency auction and started commercial 5G mobile communication services last year. The 5G mobile communication network, characterized by ultra-high speed, ultra-connectivity, and ultra-low latency, can selectively provide network services tailored to the service characteristics required by individual industries.

Patent attorney Um Jeong-han from BLT Patent Law Firm reviewed Entels' patent and trademark application status.

Listed companies in the domestic stock market disclose patent acquisition facts through the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system. However, many stock investors tend to overlook patent disclosures.

Not only patents but also trademark registrations serve as important indicators for understanding future corporate value, as they foreshadow the direction a listed company will take. Some patent disclosures even act as direct triggers for stock price increases.

It is not easy for general investors to grasp the impact on companies through patent disclosures or to check trademark application statuses one by one. Asia Economy, together with patent attorney Um Jeong-han from BLT Patent Law Firm, is reviewing the patent and trademark application status of listed companies through 'Teukgeup Yeolcha' (Express Train).

'Teukgeup Yeolcha' is an abbreviation for a broadcast that diligently searches for stocks soaring due to patents.
