According to foreign media including the AP News, on the 20th, the Singapore Ministry of Health announced that 3 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 84. Among the 3 additional confirmed cases, 2 were reported to have been infected at a church. The number of confirmed cases infected at churches in Singapore has reached 28, accounting for nearly 30% of the total. The Ministry of Health of Singapore reports that these individuals are family members or contacts of church pastors or staff.
The other confirmed case, who was not infected at a church, was originally hospitalized as a dengue fever patient and later tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, investigations are being conducted to determine whether other patients who shared the hospital room during the dengue fever hospitalization, as well as the hospital medical staff who treated the dengue fever, have been infected with COVID-19. All 3 additional confirmed cases have been investigated and found to have no recent travel history to China.
