[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Kolon Industries FnC Division (hereinafter Kolon FnC) has released a photoshoot featuring actor Gong Yoo for the upcoming spring-summer season of its lifestyle brand Epigram.
This photoshoot, themed "Living in Cheongsong," expresses the comfort of everyday life by blending actor Gong Yoo's unique emotional atmosphere with Epigram's natural styling and the local region.
Epigram selects one small domestic city each season to lead projects that coexist with local communities. Following Jeju Island, Gyeongju, Gwangju, Hadong, and Gochang, this spring-summer season introduces Cheongsong in Gyeongbuk Province.
The photoshoot captures various aspects of Cheongsong, including people continuing the tradition of Cheongsong Baekja (white porcelain), the Cheongsong Hanji workshop led by a master artisan designated as an intangible cultural asset who has carried on the family business for seven generations, and Korean Makkkurum, which preserves the unique aged taste of jangdok (fermentation pots).
Notably, the photoshoot also features Juwangsan, registered as a UNESCO Global Geopark. It encompasses everything from sites preserving traditional and natural appearances, modest alleys, to everyday travel scenes.
In particular, Epigram's space project Almost Home Stay continues in Cheongsong following Gochang. The photoshoot captures serene moments of Gong Yoo staying at Almost Home Stay.
Hong Sung-taek, head of Epigram’s business division, stated, “Epigram is not simply selling clothing but strives to lead projects that coexist with local communities by working with small domestic cities. This season, we will promote the beauty of Cheongsong along with Epigram’s values and work towards mutual growth of the region and the brand.”
Starting with the teaser release of the photoshoot featuring Gong Yoo on the 21st, Epigram will unveil a special exhibition through Kolon Mall and BY Series on the 28th. This season’s products will be available both online and offline, and in addition to the products, stories about Cheongsong will be featured in the Epigram magazine and the special exhibition published in mid-March.
