Bonsirak Launches 3 Types of 'A Well-Prepared Table Full of Spring Scents'


[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] BonIF’s premium Korean lunchbox brand, ‘Bon Dosirak,’ announced on the 20th that it will launch three new spring menu items: ‘Spring Wild Chive Webfoot Octopus and Beef Brisket Lunchbox,’ ‘Spring Shepherd’s Purse Beef Brisket Doenjang Stew,’ and ‘Spring Shepherd’s Purse Doenjang Rice Bowl.’


The three new spring menu items are based on the concept of “A well-prepared table full of spring scents,” adding seasonal spring ingredients such as webfoot octopus, shepherd’s purse, and wild chive to existing dishes to enhance their fresh flavors and nutritional value. The seasonal webfoot octopus is low in calories and rich in essential amino acids, making it ideal for dieting. It also contains a high amount of unsaturated fatty acids, which help reduce cholesterol. Shepherd’s purse and wild chive are also rich in various vitamins and minerals, helping to restore energy during the spring season.


The ‘Spring Wild Chive Webfoot Octopus and Beef Brisket Lunchbox’ offers a spring meal where you can enjoy the spicy and chewy webfoot octopus alongside the tender texture of beef brisket. It is complemented by a special wild chive soy sauce seasoning that boasts a tangy, spicy, and salty flavor with a unique aroma, enhancing the umami taste.


Also introduced is the ‘Spring Shepherd’s Purse Beef Brisket Doenjang Stew,’ which contains a generous amount of shepherd’s purse, a representative spring herb known for its fragrant flavor, in a savory beef brisket doenjang stew. The ‘Spring Shepherd’s Purse Doenjang Rice Bowl,’ served with warm rice topped with a bibim doenjang sauce that highlights the taste and aroma of shepherd’s purse along with various vegetables and Cheongyang chili peppers, is also available as a spring delicacy.
