[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Former Blue House spokesperson Go Min-jung said on the 19th, regarding her confirmed nomination as the Democratic Party candidate for Seoul Gwangjin District in the April 15 general election and her upcoming contest against former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, "Nothing can be gained without facing the challenge."
On the same day, Go posted an article titled "Fate" on her Facebook, stating, "The 721 bus I mentioned when declaring my candidacy. The first time I got on a campaign vehicle and gave a speech during the presidential campaign was in Gwangjin, where Children's Grand Park is located. Gwangjin is also where I grew up," adding, "Many coincidences were leading me toward my hometown, Gwangjin."
She then targeted former Mayor Oh, saying, "The real fight begins now. It won't be easy," and "Especially since the opposing candidate has a lot of political and life experience, it will be even more challenging."
Former spokesperson Go emphasized, "I hope we can face each other fairly and have a splendid contest," and "I want to show the hope of Korean politics in 'Gwangjin-eul'."
She concluded her post by saying, "I will be a 'sympathetic politician' who listens to many voices, cries together, and laughs together. I will be a 'humble politician' who bows her head, bends her knees, and devotes her heart. I will be a 'young politician' who advances with passionate enthusiasm and confidence."
