Busan Port Authority Receives Certification as an 'Outstanding Educational Donation Institution'

Maintaining Qualification as an Excellent Educational Donation Institution Until the End of December 2022

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Nam Gi-chan) announced on the 19th that it received a certificate of designation as an excellent educational donation institution certified by the Ministry of Education.

The excellent educational donation institution certification system is a program certified by the Ministry of Education that discovers companies, public institutions, and universities leading social contribution and educational sharing culture to foster creative talents.

BPA is conducting various activities such as △providing opportunities to board Busan Port guide boats △operating the New Port Promotion Center including cargo handling equipment operation simulations △supporting educational equipment for sister schools △supporting children from low-income families through employee love-sharing funds and salary donations △supporting port logistics-related educational institutions to train logistics professionals.

Nam Gi-chan, President of Busan Port Authority, stated, “We will continue to expand various educational donation activities by showing interest and effort in providing diverse and beneficial marine-related experiential activities to many students.”
