Emergency Room Closure Lifted
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Yoseop] A woman in her 40s who was quarantined after visiting Busan Haeundae Paik Hospital tested negative for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Busan City on the 19th, the epidemiological investigation result of Ms. A, who showed pneumonia symptoms at Haeundae Paik Hospital that day, came out negative for COVID-19. Ms. A visited the hospital at around 11:50 a.m. that day with symptoms of cough and headache, and after an X-ray examination, she showed signs of viral pneumonia and was classified as a suspected COVID-19 patient.
Haeundae Paik Hospital took emergency measures to close the emergency room due to the visit of the suspected patient that day. The emergency room closure has now been lifted.

A Busan City official stated, "You should not believe rumors circulating on SNS and the internet as they are," and added, "As of 8 p.m. on the 19th, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Busan."
Meanwhile, Busan Paik Hospital in Gaegum-dong, Busanjin-gu, also closed its emergency room due to the visit of a suspected patient that day. The test results for this suspected patient are expected to be released around 11 p.m.
