COVID-19 Epidemiological Investigation Underway for Patient in Their 40s
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] Busan Haeundae Paik Hospital has urgently closed the hospital emergency room where an epidemiological investigation of COVID-19 was conducted on a woman in her 40s who visited the hospital.
A representative of Haeundae Paik Hospital stated, "At around 11:50 a.m. on the 19th, a woman in her 40s, Ms. A, who visited the hospital, showed signs of viral pneumonia on her X-ray, so the medical staff isolated her and are currently investigating the possibility of COVID-19 infection."
The investigation results are expected to be released around 6 to 7 p.m.
The woman complained of a slight cough and headache symptoms, but since she had no history of overseas travel, she did not go through the screening clinic.
The hospital and health authorities stated, "Nurses, doctors, and emergency medical technicians are also in isolation and are closely monitoring the results."
