[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] The Innobiz Association announced on the 19th that it has newly appointed five vice presidents to lead the Women’s Economic Committee and reorganized the committee.
On the 13th, the association held the “Innobiz Women’s Economic Committee General Meeting and New Year’s Gathering” at the association’s main conference room, attended by about 40 women entrepreneurs, where this decision was made.
The newly appointed vice presidents of the Women’s Economic Committee are Minja Bae (Genie Tech), Bokhee An (Neops), Jinsook Heo (D Point Induction), Hyunju Jang (Taewoong Food), and Mihee Song (Hyundai Meditech).
Chairperson Seonyeong Kang stated, “Among the approximately 18,300 Innobiz companies, about 1,300 are women-led Innobiz companies, accounting for 7% of all certified companies. They show excellent business performance with an average sales revenue of 11.36 billion KRW, operating profit of 580 million KRW, and an average of 38.7 employees, which is 2.6 times the sales and 2.3 times the employment compared to general small and medium manufacturing companies. We will take the lead in actively building networks and supporting growth among women-led Innobiz companies, expanding the Innobiz Women’s Economic Committee further this year,” she said.
Association President Hongrae Jo said, “The Women’s Economic Committee is the longest-standing organization within the association. I hope that women entrepreneurs will share their successful experiences and ideas and guide the next generation of women entrepreneurs even better.”
