Espon's Half-Price Pre-Order for Galaxy S20 Series Sparks Daily Buzz, Galaxy Z Flip New Model Faces Stock Shortage

As various smartphone manufacturers compete to introduce foldable phones, the competition for the second generation of foldable phones has begun. While the first generation foldable phones simply folded the screen left and right, the second generation foldable phones showcase more advanced technology, superior design, and new form factors. With foldable phones that fold up and down being released one after another, attention is focused on whether new clamshell-type products, a new form factor, can lead the popularization of foldable phones.

Among the current clamshell-type foldable phones, Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Flip, which is attracting the most attention, began sales in the global market including South Korea on the 14th, while competitor Motorola's Razr foldable was released in the United States on the 6th.

Samsung Electronics' first-generation foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold, offered the usability of 'using a large screen while being foldable,' but it was evaluated as not showing significant advantages in portability due to its burdensome length and weight. On the other hand, the second model, the Galaxy Z Flip, adopted a fold-up-and-down method, maximizing portability through its small size, with Samsung emphasizing its 'compact size that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.'

As areas to enjoy on smartphones such as videos and games have expanded, the consumer base naturally prefers larger screens. As a result, the Galaxy Z Flip is referred to as a 'smartphone that can catch both the big screen and portability,' and not only the Galaxy Z Flip but also the Galaxy S20 series introduced alongside it feature large-screen displays.

The Galaxy S20 series includes three models: Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra, equipped with large screens measuring 6.2, 6.7, and 6.9 inches respectively. Offering a variety of colors to target diverse consumer groups, they have shown high pre-order rates despite their high prices ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 million KRW.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra, which accounts for about 60% of pre-orders due to its camera specs such as a 108-megapixel camera and 10x optical zoom, is priced around 1.59 million KRW, causing some burden for consumers. It is also anticipated that the supply will be limited after release, drawing consumer attention to the ‘Espon’ site, known for offering pre-orders at reasonable prices.

The site is conducting early bird pre-orders for the Galaxy S20 series at half price, offering benefits such as a ‘sterilizing charging stand,’ ‘Yoichi 3-in-1 cable,’ and ‘free purchase support for Galaxy Buds Plus.’ Additionally, Samsung manufacturer gifts for the Galaxy S20 series include a ‘Galaxy Home Mini,’ ‘Nemonic printer,’ and a ‘99,000 KRW purchase coupon for Galaxy Buds 2nd generation.’

Furthermore, the site offers a ‘Starbucks tumbler’ as a gift for writing reviews, attracting many consumers seeking higher-level benefits.
