[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, on the 18th, delivered congratulatory bouquets and school supplies to 250 children from vulnerable groups preparing to advance in their studies, in collaboration with social welfare institutions such as Iksan-si Seogang Regional Children's Center and the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.
Held under the name "Flower Dream Project," this event was organized to support flower farmers struggling due to the cancellation of various events caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and to encourage children from vulnerable groups.
On this day, the corporation's executives and employees purchased bouquets and school supply sets from flower farms in the Jeonbuk region, where the headquarters is located, and delivered them directly to the homes of children in difficult living conditions through local children's centers.
President Cho Seong-wan said, "The damage to flower farmers suffering due to COVID-19 is significant, but the disappointment of children who cannot be congratulated because their once-in-a-lifetime graduation ceremonies were canceled is also great," adding, "I hope this event serves as a small encouragement to everyone."
