[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Youth Committee of the Haenam District of the Ministry of Justice’s Legal Love Association (Chairman Lee Sang-moon) announced on the 19th that it delivered quarantine supplies worth approximately 2.7 million won, including masks and hand sanitizers to prevent COVID-19, to the Haenam County Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (Head: County Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) on the 18th.
Due to the nationwide surge in demand for masks and hand sanitizers amid the spread of COVID-19, it has been difficult to purchase these items. The Legal Love Association purchased the quarantine supplies independently and delivered them to the residents through the Disaster and Safety Headquarters, giving the effort deeper significance.
Chairman Lee Sang-moon stated, “I hope this can be of some help to the residents who are experiencing difficulties due to COVID-19 and to the disaster management personnel working hard on the front lines.”
The Haenam District of the Ministry of Justice’s Legal Love Association is a private volunteer organization that works to prevent local crimes and foster the healthy development of youth. The Youth Committee consists of 25 members and is actively engaged in various activities.
