Commemorating the ‘Songpa Children’s Health Expo’ held last October... Featuring 586 works including drawings capturing children’s imagination about health
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) has published a collection of works from the contest held during last year's 'Songpa Children’s Health Expo.'
The 'Songpa Children’s Health Expo' was an experiential event hosted in October last year by Songpa-gu and the Children’s Meal Management Support Center to promote proper eating habits and healthy growth among children.
At the event venue, 18 organizations related to health and food participated, presenting 21 experiential programs that aid in nutrition management and growth development.
About 1,400 infants and toddlers from over 60 local daycare centers participated, learning health management methods through various experiences such as preventing picky eating, hand washing, tasting eco-friendly snacks, and height growth exercises.
Additionally, throughout the venue, children's artworks and photos submitted to the 'Songpa Kids Health Drawing Contest,' 'Healthy Balanced Diet Photo Contest,' and 'Songpa Health Character Contest' were exhibited, offering diverse attractions.
The district compiled 586 contest entries into a booklet to reflect on the significance of the 'Songpa Children’s Health Expo.'
The 120-page booklet is filled with drawings and character works where children freely expressed their imagination about health.
It also includes photos capturing children enjoying their food deliciously, bringing smiles to viewers.
Going forward, the district plans to hold hygiene and nutrition education visits for local daycare centers that participated in the 'Health Expo' and deliver the booklet to them.
Furthermore, the children’s works featured in the booklet will be utilized and displayed at various events to provide additional attractions.
Park Seong-su, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “Children’s health and happiness are the driving force behind ‘Songpa leading Seoul,’” adding, “We will continue to implement various policies to make Songpa a place filled with children’s laughter.”
