Changwon City, Largest Basic Local Government to Distribute 1,100 Hydrogen Vehicles

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province (Mayor Heo Seong-mu) announced on the 19th that it will promote the '2020 Changwon City Hydrogen Vehicle Distribution Project.'

The city will distribute 1,100 units, the largest scale among basic local governments nationwide. It is the fourth largest number among local governments nationwide, including metropolitan cities. Citizens eligible for subsidy support can purchase hydrogen vehicles worth about 70 million KRW with a fixed subsidy of 33.1 million KRW.

The city plans to build three additional hydrogen charging stations to increase the current hydrogen vehicle distribution volume of about 550 units.

The first announcement quantity this time is a total of 347 units, and the remaining quantity will be additionally distributed later depending on the purchase application status. The number of supported units is limited to one per individual and up to five for corporations and enterprises.
