Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, announced on his Facebook at 9 a.m. on the 19th that Lee (78), a resident of an apartment in Sageun-dong, Seongdong-gu, with no history of overseas travel or contact with COVID-19 patients, was confirmed positive after visiting Hanyang University Hospital outpatient clinic the previous day due to high fever and undergoing a CT scan.

Jeong Won-o, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated on his Facebook at 9 a.m. on the 19th, "The confirmed patient is Mr. Lee (78), residing in an apartment in Sageun-dong, Seongdong-gu. He has no history of overseas travel nor contact with any COVID-19 confirmed patients. Due to symptoms such as high fever, he visited Hanyang University Hospital outpatient clinic the previous day, and the CT scan results confirmed the infection."
He added, "In the early morning of the same day, he was finally confirmed positive and was transferred to a nationally designated hospital."
Mayor Jeong said, "Seongdong-gu will cooperate with the immediate response team of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency to investigate the patient's movements and will disclose the information as accurately and promptly as possible after symptom onset to minimize infection risk."
Accordingly, from this day forward, Seongdong-gu will temporarily close all public facilities except for Seongdong-gu Office and community service centers, including sports facilities, libraries, welfare centers, daycare centers, and senior citizen centers, until the crisis situation is resolved.
