[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) is distributing hand sanitizers and masks to traditional markets to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
First, from the 17th to the 18th, the district distributed 500 bottles of 500ml hand sanitizer to 20 traditional markets, including Gyeongdong Market, Cheongnyangni General Market, and Dapsimni Hyundai Market.
In a situation where purchasing is difficult, 15,500 eco-friendly masks will be distributed to traditional markets next week.
To disinfect traditional markets, the district held an emergency quarantine measures meeting with market merchant associations on the 4th and disinfected 20 traditional markets on the 10th and 11th.
You Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “We hope that the support of quarantine supplies will provide some comfort and help to the traditional market merchants who are struggling due to the impact of COVID-19.”
