Candidate Bae Jong-ho: "Democratic Party's 'One Team Spirit' Does Not Fit"

He said, “During the central party’s preliminary candidate screening process, I was initially disqualified despite having no disqualifying reasons, but after a rehearing, I was deemed eligible as a preliminary candidate,” and added, “It is true that I have doubts about whether the central party’s decision regarding the Mokpo Democratic Party candidate primary was a fair and legitimate decision.”

He continued, “Due to recent unexpected adverse events and conservative unification movements, a sense of crisis is spreading in the Democratic Party’s general election, so I will accept the party’s decision cleanly for the victory of the Democratic Party in the general election,” and added, “Although my influence is limited, I will do my best to ensure the Democratic Party candidate wins in Mokpo.”

Candidate Bae emphasized, “I will never forget the grace of the citizens of Mokpo and supporters who have consistently loved and supported me for the past 13 years,” and said, “I will continue to work for the development of Mokpo, the success of the Moon Jae-in administration, and the reestablishment of the government.”

In particular, he said, “I hope a clean candidate wins the primary for the development of Mokpo and that they definitely win the 4·15 general election.”
