[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sun-hee] On the 18th, the Blue House dismissed the Future United Party's accusation of President Moon Jae-in being reported to the prosecution for allegedly interfering in the Ulsan mayoral election during the June 13, 2018 local elections (violation of the Public Official Election Act) by saying, "We will not comment on each case."

A senior Blue House official responded this way when asked about the related stance by reporters at the Chuncheon Press Center in the afternoon. When asked if they accepted the purpose of the accusation, the official said, "Not at all."

The Future United Party announced on the same day that it plans to submit a complaint regarding suspicions that the Blue House intervened in the election to ensure the victory of Song Cheol-ho, the Ulsan mayor known to be a friend of President Moon, during the last local election. Instead of issuing an official statement on these suspicions, the Blue House has consistently maintained a no-response stance.

Meanwhile, the Blue House explained the background for deploying the presidential aircraft (Air Force 3) to repatriate Korean nationals quarantined on the cruise ship 'Diamond Princess' docked at Yokohama Port, Japan, stating that it was "to honor the citizens and because the scale of passengers is appropriate." Air Force 3 has a capacity of 15 seats, and the number of people to be transported this time is a total of 5, including 4 Koreans and 1 Japanese spouse.

The official stated, "In Japan, the cruise ship was docked due to quarantine issues, but since Korea is a safer country, the transfer is being done by airplane."
