Yeonggwang-gun Conducts 'Drone Certification and Small Construction Equipment License Acquisition Training'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 18th that it will provide training for obtaining certifications and licenses related to drones and small construction machinery (excavators under 3 tons, skid loaders, forklifts).

This training was prepared to prevent safety accidents caused by inexperienced operation skills and unlicensed driving in advance.

The training, conducted for farmers, offers an opportunity to obtain drone certifications and small construction machinery licenses, while also supporting part of the training costs to reduce the economic burden on farmers.

Drone training will begin recruiting and selecting trainees by the 3rd of next month, and small construction machinery training by the 13th of next month, with the training conducted through a specialized training institution.

Additionally, when obtaining drone certifications and small construction machinery licenses, 50-60% of the training costs will be supported.

Applicants must reside in the county and hold a driver's license (Class 1 regular or higher) for forklifts, or a driver's license (Class 2 regular or higher) for drones, excavators, and skid loaders, or be farmers who can obtain a physical examination certificate for the respective machinery. Applications can be submitted to the Agricultural Technology Center's Agricultural Machinery Team.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, “We will do our best to continuously promote not only agricultural machinery license acquisition training but also practical training, technical education, and safety education to realize a safe rural area free from agricultural machinery accidents.”
