[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won has taken legal action against YouTuber Kim Yong-ho. He operates a channel called 'Kim Yong-ho Entertainment Chief' on YouTube.

On the 18th, Won Law Firm, representing Chairman Chey, released a statement saying, "The YouTube broadcast on the 16th by 'Kim Yong-ho Entertainment Chief,' claiming that Chairman Chey had dinner with a certain woman on the 7th, is clearly false," and added, "The person who dined with Chairman Chey that day was Director Kim Hee-young of the T&C Foundation."

Earlier, on the 16th, Kim posted a broadcast titled "Who is the chairman's 'she'?" on his YouTube channel. In the broadcast, Kim claimed, "He released photos of Chairman Chey dining with a woman at a restaurant and suggested that it is highly unlikely that she is Kim Hee-young, his current cohabitant."

Won Law Firm pointed out, "Serious invasions of privacy and the spread of false information are recurring, raising suspicions of ulterior motives," and stated, "Irresponsible and malicious dissemination of false information about others' private lives, with an attitude of 'whether true or not,' has gone beyond a tolerable level."

They also stated, "The content of the YouTube broadcast by Ga Se-yeon on December 5 last year, mentioned in the broadcast, is also clearly false." They explained, "Claims that Chairman Chey distributed latex pillows in detention while incarcerated or that he did not provide living expenses to Director Noh So-young during the divorce lawsuit are also false."

They added, "We filed an injunction to prohibit the spread of false information at the Seoul Central District Court in January regarding the broadcast and submitted all evidence, including records of living expenses amounting to about 100 million won per month, to the court," and said, "We will take all possible legal actions to correct the facts and hold those responsible accountable to the end."
