[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 18th that it will launch a ‘Digital Tool Utilization English Teaching and Learning’ site using digital tools and applications (apps) on the 19th.


This site introduces various digital tools and app usage methods, such as using Google Drive for classes, using ClassCard, using Flickers, and utilizing tools for creating class videos.


It also includes easy-to-follow instructions for beginners on how to sign up, set up the learning environment, key features guidance, teaching and learning methods, and process-based performance assessment methods.


The Office of Education plans to publish the content of the site as a booklet and distribute it to high schools in the district in early March. The booklet will contain English class materials using digital tools, ‘High School Gap Reading’ materials jointly developed by high school English teachers, and guidance materials for student group activities and discussion activities.


Kwon Seoktae, Director of the Future Talent Education Division, said, “This site will be useful for teachers and students of various subjects, including English, who are interested in digital platform-based classes,” adding, “We believe it will greatly help teachers conduct learner-centered classes in line with the changing digital learning environment.”
