[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Woori Financial Group has launched a recruitment drive for startups with innovative technologies.
Woori Financial announced on the 18th that it will accept applications for companies to participate in its startup collaboration program, 'Dino Lab,' until the 12th of next month.
Woori Financial expanded and reorganized Dino Lab, which was previously operated by Woori Bank, into a group-wide joint project starting this year. This move aims to strengthen collaboration between group affiliates such as Woori Bank, Woori Card, and Woori Investment & Securities, and startups.
The recruitment targets startups possessing technologies or services related to fintech, artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, or those that can be linked with Woori Financial. Applications can be submitted through the Woori Financial website.
Selected companies will receive support from Woori Financial, including office space, consulting on patents, taxation, and accounting, investment attraction and commercialization, as well as assistance with entering the Vietnamese market.
Dino Lab consists of Wibee Fintech Lab, Developer Lab, and Dino Lab Vietnam, and has achieved cumulative sales of 24.7 billion KRW, signed 115 business agreements, and attracted 9.5 billion KRW in investments as of last year.
Meanwhile, the in-house venture program 'Woori Adventure,' scheduled to launch next month, will move into the same office space as Dino Lab startups to enhance synergy and provide acceleration programs.
A Woori Financial official stated, “We aim to achieve innovative growth in fintech through the growth of startups housed in Dino Lab and the stable establishment of Woori Adventure.”
