[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] On the 18th, Park Ji-won, a member of the Alternative New Party, said that "there will be problems in the nomination process" regarding the United Future Party.

On the same day, Park appeared on YTN Radio's 'Noh Young-hee's Start of a New Morning' and said, "Some media outlets are calling the conservative united party the 'old Saenuri Party' again. Even looking at the leadership, Hwang Kyo-ahn, the representative of the United Future Party, remains in place, and most of them are former members of the Liberty Korea Party. The representative decides everything, and the leadership must approve it, so where do you think this will go?"

He continued about Yoo Seung-min, former chairman of the New Conservative Party's Conservative Reconstruction Committee, who did not attend the United Future Party's launch ceremony: "Although Representative Yoo declared he would not run, the details regarding shares and nominations have not yet been finalized. Therefore, I believe there will be problems in the nomination process going forward."

Park also evaluated the United Future Party, saying, "A small-scale unification has been achieved," and added, "Representative Yoo, who was the main axis of the unification, did not participate, and the pro-Park factions such as the Taegeukgi units are still out there. Therefore, although Park Hyung-joon, chairman of the Innovation and Integration Promotion Committee, resolved some longstanding issues, he could not embrace everything."

He went on to say, "As I predicted, (the United Future Party) will end with a few members returning to the Liberty Korea Party," and added, "Of course, former Jeonjin Party leader Lee Eon-ju also participated, but I believe this is not a grand conservative unification but a small unification. However, I think it has positioned itself under quite favorable conditions for the election."
