Mid-Range Phones with Quad Cameras... LG Electronics Unveils Three K Series Models

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] LG Electronics has unveiled three mid-range K series smartphones targeting overseas markets. These mid-range smartphones are equipped with four rear cameras comparable to those found on premium smartphones.

On the 18th, LG Electronics announced that the practical smartphones ▲LG K61 ▲K51S ▲K41S will be sequentially released in Latin America and Europe starting from the second quarter.

Although these are mid-range products, they are equipped with four high-end lenses found in premium smartphones on the rear, including standard, ultra-wide, depth, and macro lenses. Among them, the K61 features a 48-megapixel standard lens, the K51S has a 32-megapixel standard lens, and the K41S is equipped with a 13-megapixel standard lens. The macro lens, common to all three practical models, allows clear shooting of close subjects at distances of 3 to 5 cm. The artificial intelligence (AI) camera automatically recognizes objects and recommends the optimal image quality.

The display is designed to comfortably enjoy videos on mobile devices. It features a large 6.5-inch display with minimized front bezels. To reduce the area occupied by the front camera, the K61 and K51S have a punch-hole design, while the K41S adopts a 'V notch' style design. The wide cinematic screen ratio (20:9) allows for immersive video viewing.

Basic features such as battery and sound are also well-equipped. A large 4000mAh battery is installed, reducing battery concerns in multimedia environments with high power consumption such as video watching and web surfing. LG Electronics' unique sound strengths are carried over to deliver cinema-like audio. All three models are equipped with DTS:X 3D surround sound functionality.

Durability is also ensured, having passed the U.S. Department of Defense military standard 'Military Spec.' This standard means the device has sufficient durability for military operations, having undergone tests for low temperature and humidity, high temperature, vibration, dust, and water resistance.
