According to China Central Television (CCTV) on the 18th, Hubei Province, which is the most affected by COVID-19, recorded 1,807 new confirmed cases and 93 new deaths on the 17th alone.

Among these, Wuhan, the origin of COVID-19, reported 1,600 new confirmed cases and 72 new deaths. Of the confirmed cases in Hubei Province, 9,117 are in critical condition, and 1,853 are in serious condition.

The National Health Commission of China announced that as of the 16th, the cumulative confirmed cases nationwide reached 70,548, and deaths totaled 1,770.
