On the same day, Hong posted on his Facebook, "Kim is urging me to come to Yangsan quickly, but unlike the Democratic Party, our party is undergoing a grand unification process, and the nomination management committee interviews must be conducted together with the New Conservative Party candidates, so the procedure is somewhat delayed."

He added, "The talk about moving to Yangsan on the 20th is just a prediction based on the announcement scheduled for the 19th."

Hong also said to Kim, "Eating hastily often causes indigestion. Isn't it better to campaign alone?" and "Once the party decides, I will go down immediately."

Earlier that day, Kim posted on his Facebook, "Rumors about former leader Hong running in Yangsan have been circulating daily. However, the Liberty Korea Party's decision keeps being delayed."

He continued, "These days, the Yangsan city center is very noisy with people asking when the Liberty Korea Party candidate will finally be confirmed," adding, "In these difficult economic times, it is embarrassing for me to campaign amid the commotion over whether Hong will come or not, when we should be competing on policies."
