[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Lee Yong-bin, a preliminary candidate for the National Assembly representing Gwangsan-gu Gap, Gwangju Metropolitan City from the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 17th, "Former lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo is not qualified for Honam politics," and added, "He should stop his sudden, out-of-place politics that only appear during elections, pleading to the people, and acting outdated, and immediately leave the political arena."

Preliminary candidate Lee Yong-bin said, "On the 16th, the People's Party (tentative name) led by former lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo held its founding convention in Gwangju," and claimed, "The public is fed up with irresponsible politics that blindly criticize without context, show no interest in people's livelihoods, and are solely focused on extending political life."

He continued, "The icon Ahn Cheol-soo is now nothing more than the filament of a light bulb whose lifespan has ended, a mere life-supporter for outdated forces," emphasizing, "Politics is not about standing far away and making sophisticated critiques, but about standing beside people, protecting together, and taking responsibility until the end."

He added, "Embracing outdated forces and leaving the political arena along with the flow of the old era is the last role."
