Busan Coast Guard Rescues Person Who Jumped into the Sea Under Yeongdo Bridge

Hospitalized Due to Hypothermia Complaints

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] On the afternoon of the 17th, when a sudden cold wave hit, a drowning person who jumped into the sea from Yeongdo Bridge in Busan was rescued.


According to the Busan Coast Guard, at around 1:47 PM that day, a passerby crossing Yeongdo Bridge discovered Mr. A (32, male) who had jumped from the bridge and reported it to 119.


Upon receiving the report, the Busan Coast Guard dispatched patrol vessels and the Namhang coastal rescue boat to the scene and rescued Mr. A.


A Busan Coast Guard official stated, "We transported Mr. A, who was complaining of hypothermia, to the coastal rescue boat for emergency treatment and then moved him to a nearby hospital."
