Lotte World Tower Displays Support Message on Building Exterior to Overcome 'COVID-19'

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte World Tower delivers a message of support for overcoming the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Lotte World Tower announced on the 17th that for ten days until the 26th, from 6 PM to 10 PM daily, it will display cheering messages such as "Eurachacha Daehanminguk" and "Himnaera Wuhan" on the tower's exterior walls for 10 minutes at every hour and half-hour.

Currently, landmarks around the world such as Dubai's Burj Khalifa, Abu Dhabi's state-owned oil company ADNOC, and Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower are using exterior lighting to support people worldwide struggling with COVID-19.

Lotte World Tower has delivered messages of hope to people worldwide beyond Korea every year through various methods such as fireworks, calligraphy, and public art.

Notably, in 2015, it conducted the "Love for the Nation Campaign" to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation. It has also participated annually in public awareness campaigns such as the "Pink Ribbon" and "Blue Light" campaigns conducted by landmarks worldwide.

Meanwhile, Lotte Corporation visited traditional markets directly on the 14th, with employees conducting disinfection work and delivering supplies to help local communities struggling with the supply of quarantine products and disinfectants due to the spread of COVID-19.
