[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jong-hyo] Kim Jong-cheon, a preliminary candidate of the Liberty Korea Party, held a press conference at the briefing room of Busan City Council on the afternoon of the 17th and declared his candidacy for Geumjeong-gu, Busan.
Candidate Kim stated, “With Representative Kim Se-yeon's announcement of not running, this area has become vacant, causing great loss to the party and the National Assembly,” and explained his reason for running, saying, “Instead of just worrying about the chaotic situation, I decided to overcome it with a political sense of mission.”
He continued, “I want to work to check the ruling party and overcome the crisis of conservatism to create a stable and balanced Republic of Korea,” and emphasized, “I will not criticize blindly. I will find alternatives and become a catalyst to prepare for the future of Korea by finding alternatives to the current government's failures.”
Candidate Kim also expressed his ambition, saying, “With my experience as a healthcare management professional, I will continuously expand the quality and scope of national health rights by developing the two pillars of strengthening public healthcare and fostering private healthcare in a balanced way,” and “I will devote myself to building a sustainable welfare Korea through customized welfare policies.”
He added, “Individual development is possible through one's own efforts, but the development of a social community can only be achieved together,” and said, “I will work together with everyone to make Geumjeong-gu a place where people want to stay.”
Meanwhile, it is known that Candidate Kim spent his elementary, middle, and high school years in Geumjeong, majored in social welfare, and has been active as a healthcare management expert, human rights activist, director of the Busan Neophilharmonic Orchestra, and a community social activist.
