Krafton to Launch 'Terra Hero' on the 5th of Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Krafton announced on the 17th that it will release the mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Tera Hero' in South Korea on March 5.

Krafton began pre-registration for Tera Hero on the same day. Developed by its subsidiary Red Sahara, Tera Hero is a mobile game based on the intellectual property (IP) of the PC game 'Tera,' which Krafton developed in 2011 and won the Korea Game Awards that year.

Tera Hero users will grow their characters by completing mob hunts and missions through 3-player party play. Users can acquire 18 different characters without in-app purchases, and in addition to the main storyline, unique scenarios for each character will unfold. Furthermore, players can enjoy various battles such as Player VS Player (PvP).

Lee Ji-hoon, CEO of Red Sahara, said, "We consider the users who have long remembered and replayed the Tera IP, the development team that has been working hard for a long time, and the various characters appearing in the game all as heroes. We have prepared with the goal of achieving the highest level of completeness among the mobile games based on the Tera IP introduced so far."

Krafton plans to focus first on the domestic service of Tera Hero and then pursue entry into the global market. A Krafton official stated, "After stabilizing the service in Korea, we plan to enter major countries with tailored strategies."
