[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Service is producing and distributing the "Our Forest Travel Guide (Vol. 2)." This guidebook, produced for the second time this year following last year, is expected to serve as a guide for forest travel by including lesser-known travel attractions, exploration routes, sights, and activities within the region.
According to the Korea Forest Service on the 17th, the "Our Forest Travel Guide (Vol. 2)" is organized in a format that introduces 14 excellent contents selected from the forest tourism private content development and operation contest, as well as five locations from the "Train Track Forest Travel" program operated by Korail Tourism Development Co., Ltd.
The "Our Forest Travel Guide" Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 are posted on the Korea Forest Service website and are available to all citizens who need information related to forest travel. Additionally, it will be produced in a handbook format and distributed on-site.
Meanwhile, the Korea Forest Service has been promoting a contest project that supports various private entities in discovering local forests and travel routes, developing content, and directly operating them to revitalize the local economy and create jobs.
It is also continuously making efforts to develop and operate various forest travel programs together with tourism cooperative groups and local residents to develop desirable forest tourism business models.
Jung Cheol-ho, Director of the Forest Welfare Policy Division at the Korea Forest Service, said, "We hope that the publication of the Our Forest Travel Guide will help regional development, increase residents' income, and promote leisure activities for the public."
