[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Jangheung-eup Community Security Council (Eupjang Jo Guk-seon, Co-chair Kang Kyung-il) announced on the 17th that they visited two households of elderly people living alone to celebrate their birthdays.
This project is a policy of the Jangheung-eup Community Security Council to prepare birthday tables for vulnerable elderly people aged 85 and older living alone in the area, and to convey the warmth of neighbors through cakes and gifts.
On this day, the Saemaeul Women's Association sponsored the birthday tables, and Paris Baguette (CEO Kim Sun-woo) sponsored the cakes.
The elderly person celebrating their birthday expressed gratitude, saying, "I couldn't even remember when my birthday was, but so many people came to my home to celebrate, and it brought me to tears."
Jo Guk-seon, the head of Jangheung-eup, said, "I am grateful that we could bring great joy through a small sharing to the elderly who usually feel lonely," and added, "We will frequently visit to check on their well-being and ensure they have no difficulties in their daily lives."
