Actor Lee Hwakyum talked about his friendship with Yoo In-young.
Lee Hwakyum played the ambitious role of Kim Song-yi in the recently concluded TV Chosun drama "Gantaek - War of the Women." During the drama's airing, he shared on his SNS, "Thanks to a surprise gift from my beloved sister In-young, I was so, so happy all day long. Thank you so much, sister, I love you," revealing Yoo In-young's coffee truck support.
When asked about his connection with Yoo In-young in an interview after the drama ended, Lee Hwakyum said, "We filmed the 2013 drama 'Wonderful Mama' together," sharing the beginning of their 7-year friendship.
Lee Hwakyum said, "She is urban, cool, and beautiful, so most people who see her for the first time don’t approach her, but I was young and always liked her, so I followed her around. She said, 'You’re the first younger sibling who came up to me so quickly,' and looked at me fondly. Since then, I have relied on her a lot, consulted her about my worries, and kept in touch, continuing our bond."
In "Gantaek," Lee Hwakyum made an impact early in the drama with a fierce character. Since last year, he has been active under the name Lee Hwakyum, formerly Yoo Young of Hello Venus, striving to greet audiences with various roles.
