[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] On the afternoon of the 17th, President Moon Jae-in stated at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and Financial Services Commission briefing held at the Blue House, "The most practical difficulty for self-employed business owners such as tourism companies, traditional markets, and restaurants, whose sales have declined due to reduced consumption, is the store rent."

President Moon said, "Currently, in some areas including Jeonju City, a voluntary movement by building owners to reduce commercial rent is emerging to overcome the damage caused by COVID-19 together," adding, "I deeply appreciate the Good Landlord Movement and sincerely hope that along with strong government-wide support, efforts for mutual growth between commercial landlords and tenants will also be actively carried out."
