[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] BNK Financial Group announced on the 17th that it held the launch ceremony for BNK Venture Investment.
BNK Venture Investment is a venture capital company incorporated as the ninth affiliate of BNK Financial Group in November last year. After the acquisition, it completed a name change, organizational restructuring, and headquarters relocation, and held the launch ceremony on the 14th at its headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
At the launch ceremony, BNK Venture Investment announced “expanding the supply of venture capital in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions” as a key company objective, and decided to expand its existing venture business investments while discovering and investing in promising startups in the region.
BNK Financial plans to newly establish the “BNK Venture Investment Center,” an innovative finance support platform, within the one-stop corporate investment finance center “BNK Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Corporate Investment Finance (CIB) Center” next month. Venture investment experts will be additionally assigned here to provide customized programs tailored to each stage of corporate growth.
Kim Ji-wan, Chairman of BNK Financial, said, “Through the incorporation of BNK Venture Investment, we have built a business portfolio encompassing direct and indirect investments and loans within the CIB division,” and added, “We will contribute to creating future growth engines for the regional economy by revitalizing the supply of venture capital to innovative companies in the region.”
