[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] SK Magic announced on the 17th that it recorded its highest-ever performance since its establishment, with consolidated sales of 874.6 billion KRW and operating profit of 79.4 billion KRW last year.
Last year's sales increased by 32.7% compared to 659.1 billion KRW the previous year. Operating profit also rose by 58.5% from 50.1 billion KRW the previous year. The performance growth was driven by the rental business, including water purifiers. The company firmly established this as a growth pillar by achieving a cumulative 1.81 million accounts last year.
In the home appliance business, core products such as gas ranges, dishwashers, electric ranges, and electric ovens led the market, and the built-in market order amount reached 100 billion KRW, demonstrating a solid business structure, according to the company.
Riding on this growth momentum, SK Magic plans to operate its business with the goal of achieving 1 trillion KRW in sales and 2.2 million cumulative accounts this year.
Ryu Kwonju, CEO of SK Magic, said, "To meet customer expectations, we will designate this year as the 'first year of service quality innovation,' establish a Customer Value Innovation Office, and make multifaceted efforts to innovate service quality." He added, "Looking ahead to the next 10 years, we will create a new innovation organization to redefine and redesign all company businesses and work processes."
