Hana Bank Launches Global OneQ App Service in Hong Kong

Hana Bank Launches Global OneQ App Service in Hong Kong

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Hana Bank's global smartphone banking application (app) 'Global One Q' is now available for use in Hong Kong.

Hana Bank announced on the 17th that it will launch the Global One Q app service in Hong Kong. Hana Bank is the first among banks to provide smartphone banking services in Hong Kong.

Hana Bank has been offering Global One Q services in Canada since its launch in 2015, and currently provides services in China, Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, Panama, and Vietnam.

Global One Q automatically recognizes the user's location and allows service access with just a login when the user is in the respective country, without a separate country selection process. The bank explained that by using a mobile one-time password (OTP), it has resolved inconveniences such as battery depletion and loss associated with traditional OTP devices.

Additionally, the app includes features such as account inquiry, loan inquiry, automatic transfer, and easy remittance, as well as a 'Corporate Approval Box' function for businesspeople who frequently travel abroad, enabling convenient work from anywhere in the world.

Han Jun-sung, Vice President of Hana Bank's Future Finance Group, stated, "The smartphone banking usage rate in countries where the service was previously implemented has noticeably increased, receiving great responses from overseas customers. We will continue to expand our global services to ensure convenient use anywhere in the world."
