Expected snowfall amounts are forecasted to be 1?5 cm in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo, western inland Gyeongnam, and the five western islands; around 1 cm in inland Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam (excluding western inland areas). Chungcheong and Jeolla provinces are expected to receive 5?10 cm, with some areas exceeding 20 cm.
In Jeju Island, snow or rain will continue until 9 a.m. on Tuesday the 18th, with expected snowfall of 5?10 cm.
The morning low temperature on the 17th will range from -10 to 0 degrees Celsius (average -8 to 2 degrees), and the daytime high will be between -4 and 5 degrees Celsius (average 4 to 10 degrees), showing temperatures lower than usual. The perceived temperature in Seoul is expected to be between -12 and -11 degrees Celsius.
Fine dust levels are forecasted to be 'moderate' across all regions. However, due to yellow dust, Chungcheong, Honam, Yeongnam, and Jeju areas are expected to experience temporarily 'bad' levels from the previous night until the afternoon of the day.
Strong winds will blow mainly along the coast and Jeju Island, with strong winds also affecting inland areas, so special attention should be paid to facility management and safety accidents.
Airports in western regions may experience flight disruptions due to strong winds, so passengers should check flight information in advance.
Very strong winds will blow across all seas, and waves will be very high, so ships heading out for navigation or fishing should exercise caution.
Sea waves will be 1.5?5.0 meters in the near West Sea, 1.0?4.0 meters in the near South Sea, and 1.5?5.0 meters in the near East Sea. Offshore wave heights are forecasted to be 3.0?5.0 meters in the West Sea, 2.0?5.0 meters in the South Sea, and 3.0?6.0 meters in the East Sea.
