[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yuseonghun) is recruiting a ‘Community Specialized Workforce Job Counselor’ from the 14th to the 26th to provide customized job counseling services for employment-vulnerable groups.
One position is available, and applicants must hold a job counselor certificate and be between 18 and 65 years old as of the project start date.
The community specialized workforce differs from general community job projects in that continuous participation is possible in both the first and second half of the year, and there are no restrictions on income or property.
Those who wish to participate can download the application form from the ‘Notices & Announcements’ section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website (www.geumcheon.go.kr), fill it out, and submit it in person along with the required documents to the Job Creation Division on the 9th floor of Geumcheon-gu Office.
The district office will individually notify applicants of the document screening results on the 26th, conduct in-depth interviews on the 27th, and announce the final successful candidate on the 28th.
Additional points will be given to Geumcheon-gu residents among the applicants, and in the case of a tie, priority will be given to employment-vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities, female household heads, single-parent families, and marriage immigrant women.
The final selected candidate will work from March 2 to June 18 at the G-Valley Corporate Support Center located in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, performing tasks such as discovering hiring companies and mediating jobs between job seekers and employers.
Work hours are 5 hours per day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, and the wage is 48,000 KRW per day, including a 5,000 KRW snack allowance. Paid holidays for public offices and weekly/annual leave allowances apply, and enrollment in the four major social insurances is mandatory.
The district operates the ‘G-Valley Job Center’ linked with the district office’s Job Center within the G-Valley Corporate Support Center (145, Gasan Digital 1-ro, Room 210) to resolve the hiring difficulties of G-Valley companies and provide customized jobs to residents seeking employment.
Mayor Yuseonghun said, “We will continue to discover various job projects through not only public jobs but also the establishment of public-private cooperation systems to resolve local unemployment.”
