[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] A total of 334 Korean residents who returned on the second charter flight from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, the epicenter of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), completed their quarantine at the Chungnam Asan Police Human Resources Development Institute and were discharged on the 16th.
At around 10 a.m. that day, the residents boarded 17 buses prepared by the government joint support team and departed from the Police Human Resources Development Institute.
The residents who were discharged that day had returned on the second charter flight on the 1st. They underwent quarantine for two weeks, the incubation period of COVID-19, at the Police Human Resources Development Institute.
All of them tested negative in the final examination before discharge.
Among the 334 discharged individuals was one father who voluntarily entered quarantine to take care of his two children who came without a guardian.
Meanwhile, on the morning of the 15th, a day earlier, 193 residents who returned on the first charter flight were discharged first.
