Decorated as the '2020 Glorious Return,' that day's 'Immortal Songs' featured a full lineup of 90s singers lighting up the stage.
The first to appear, Emerald Castle, showcased their vocal skills by performing "Balgeoreum," a blend of string instruments and band accompaniment. The judging panel recalled it as a song always played in cafes where ballads are featured, reminiscing about its popularity at the time and calling it a classic even now.
Next, Lee Jae-young heated up the stage with a 2020 version of "Yuhok." Demonstrating dazzling Latin dance skills combining tango and samba, Lee Jae-young received a standing ovation from everyone and ultimately took the win.
Following that, Kim Joon-sun attracted attention by newly arranging "Arabian Night." His dreamy stage stirred the audience, and Space A commented that although they didn't perform like that during rehearsal, it was very well done. Unfortunately, Lee Jae-young secured a second victory.
The next performer, introduced as the icon of Generation X, was Hyun Jin-young. He rearranged his greatest hit "Heurin Gieok Soke Geudae" into a 2020 version and delivered a stage with idol group Golden Child that was not behind the times. Receiving praise as the return of a legend, Hyun Jin-young surpassed Lee Jae-young to claim one win.
Following Hyun Jin-young was Jo Seong-hwan of Yukgaksoo. On the horol stage, Jo Seong-hwan performed the 2020 version of "Heungboga Giga Makyeo" alongside traditional musician Yoo Tae-pyung, showing fantastic chemistry. He also mentioned the late Do Min-ho, saying he couldn't help but think of Minho hyung. However, the judging panel once again chose Hyun Jin-young.
With Hyun Jin-young achieving his second win, Space A lit up the final stage. They selected "Sexy Man" and "Juhong Geulssi," delivering a fantastic performance that satisfied the judges. Space A shared that although they usually don't get nervous on stage, they felt nervous today, drawing attention.
The final winners of 'Immortal Songs - 2020 Glorious Return,' which brought nostalgia and delight with a large appearance of 90s singers, were Hyun Jin-young and Golden Child.
