[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 14th, Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, made health masks to prevent Coronavirus Disease 2019 (hereafter COVID-19) together with about 25 members of the Gangdong-gu Saemaeul Women's Association (President Han Sang-rim) at the 5th floor auditorium of the district office.

This was to produce children's masks, which became difficult to supply due to the COVID-19 situation, and deliver them to children.

About 500 children's and adult masks made that day are scheduled to be delivered to local daycare centers and social welfare facilities. The masks contain replaceable filters inside, allowing for multiple uses.

Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, "Due to the impact of COVID-19, mask demand has increased, causing prices to rise and shortages to occur. I thank the Gangdong-gu Saemaeul Women's Association for proposing and practicing mask production and donation for neighbors. I believe this mask delivery will greatly help prevent infections and alleviate residents' anxiety." He added, "Gangdong-gu will continue to make every effort to protect the health and safety of its citizens."
